Calisthenics Timer — Privacy Policy

Effective 11 August 2026

Calisthenics Timer (“the app”, shown as Cali Timer on your home screen, and released as Skill Timer until August 2026) lets you add a timer, text, and drawings to a video and export the result. This policy explains what the app collects and what it doesn’t.

Your videos stay on your device

The app never uploads your videos. Picking a clip, editing it, and exporting the finished file all happen on your iPhone. There is no Calisthenics Timer account, no server that receives your footage, and no cloud storage.

The app asks for two photo-library permissions:

Reading your library, so you can choose a video to edit.
Adding to your library, so an exported video can be saved back to it.

If you export to Files or through the iOS share sheet instead, the finished video goes wherever you send it. That destination is your choice and is governed by whatever app or service you send it to.

What is collected, and by whom

Calisthenics Timer itself does not collect personal information. The first release includes one active third-party service that does collect data:

Google AdMob (advertising)

The app is free and supported by ads. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK collects data to serve and measure those ads, which may include:

Device advertising identifiers
Device and operating-system information
IP address and approximate location derived from it
Ad interactions, such as which ads were shown, viewed, or tapped
App interactions, performance information, crash logs, and other diagnostics

On iOS, the app asks for your permission before it may use your device’s advertising identifier for tracking. If you decline, ads still appear, but they are not personalised — declining does not cost you any part of the app.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested, using Google’s consent form. If you decline, no ads are requested for you at all. You can change that decision at any time through Privacy choices on the app’s home screen.

Google’s handling of this data is covered by Google’s own policies:

RevenueCat (inactive in the first release)

The RevenueCat library is bundled for a planned optional ad-free upgrade, but the first release does not initialize it and does not offer any purchase. It therefore receives no purchase record from this version of the app.

If that upgrade is enabled in a future version, purchases will be processed by Apple, not by us — we will never see your payment details. RevenueCat will then record the App Store transaction against a randomly generated anonymous identifier so the app can recognise the purchase after a reinstall or on a new device. This policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated before that feature is released.

Contacts, calendars, microphone, or precise GPS location
Any account, because the app has none

Children

Calisthenics Timer is not directed to children under 13, and the app does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

Advertising identifier. iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking lets you change your decision for Calisthenics Timer at any time.
Photo access. iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos lets you change or revoke library access. The app cannot open or save videos without it.
Deleting your data. Because nothing of yours is stored on our side, deleting the app removes everything the app kept.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it, and the updated version is published at the same address.
